". . . I did not know what to expect when I discovered this new Author, I can guarantee,
however, I wait with baited breath for the next book. Dark Transition, will take your mind to
the outer limits on a ride that exceeds, in my opinion, the greats, Clive Barker, John Saul, etc..
You can only experience this ride by reading this intense work of fiction. As an avid reader, I
have never been so driven to read straight through a book, like this one, I was up all night
and could not put it down and when I did, I was disappointed, not to find another one to pick
up and experience. I cannot wait for this new Author to publish the next work of brilliance."

is captivating to the point that you anxiously await a new novel from Mrs. Shockey.
I would recommend this novel to anyone that enjoys a great thrill mystery."

"Full of suspense! Grabs your attention from the start and doesn't let go until
the end!" (Yvonne Conn)

"Reminds me of Truman Capote's 'In Cold Blood'. A Real thriller. Could not put
this down. We need more of this!" (W. David Campbell)

". . . Great Book. I devoured it as quickly as I could. Echo of Souls is a must have book for
anyone looking for suspense. This is a book that is nearly impossible to put down and will keep
you thinking about it for days to come. The author really knows how to tell a story that catches
the reader and does not let go until the book ends. Can't wait for the next book from this

Echo Of Souls
". . . I have been fortunate to know Mrs. Shockey for the past 17 years. I adored her first book
and thought that there simply could not be a better book. But, alas, Mrs. Shockey proved me
wrong with her book, Echo of Souls. This book is one that keeps you on the edge of your seat
from the first page to the last. In my opinion, a great book is one that pulls you into the story
and doesn't let you escape its pages until you are finished with it. Mrs Shockey has not only
done that but makes a person feel they are a part of the story. Great work Alishia!!!! I am
looking forward to your next awesome work. (This deserves 10 red bows!!!!!) "

Echo of Souls is the perfect book for this season of Halloween. Ronni Parker taking a leave from
her company, has driven hundreds of miles across Florida to find her inheritance, a cabin
nestled on Paloma Road in the backwoods land next to the Suwannee River. Raised by adoptive
parents, Ronnie has been left her family's home by the grandmother she has never known.
Ronni's lawyer, Mr. Saxton, warns her that the nearby townsfolk may not welcome her
cordially, and Ronni finds truth in his words. Her birth mother apparently killed herself after
Ronni was given as a baby to others to raise, and river dweller Jack, good friend to Ronni's
grandmother, refuses to stay in the cabin after dark. Ronni senses a presence in the old cabin,
but when she is nearly drowned in the bathtub, she knows there are unseen "presences" that
might mean to harm her. Can old river-folk storyteller, Netta Jackson, help Ronni uncover
those otherworldly beings?

Alishia Shockey has written an absorbing story that horror story fans will love. The plot holds
true from beginning to end of the story. She does a first-rate job in revealing the identity of the
ghost that haunts Ronni, leaving one word messages for her on the old sewing machine that
runs itself. That Ronni's dead mother seems so loving, so welcoming, and then is totally lethal is
a great piece of literary work. Characters such as Jack, Netta Jackson and Corbin Cox are well
created and believable. This is a honey of a Halloween offering, a good read for any time of year.
The wordy description at story's beginning is totally forgivable in light of the story to come.

The Purple Rose: Into The Tap ... Book 1  The Series Begins

No matter how I say this I will be over-simplifying the plot but here it goes. A sisterhood of
women are trying to figure out how their lives are linked. But at the same time they are being
hunted by someone who knows why their lives are linked. They are very powerful reincarnated
people and their hunter wants to absorb their energy to make himself more powerful. As I said,
this synopsis seriously over-simplifies the story. But, if I tell more I will be giving away far too
many spoilers.
In short this book was fabulous! I started reading and did not stop until I, regrettably, reached
the last page. On page one, I was immediately flung into the turbulent lives of four very
engaging women who had a friendship that went far deeper than an ordinary friendship. They
fought and struggled their way through the story while clinging to each other, and the friendship
that bound them.

The writing style is descriptive and strong but, not overpowering. Things are described well
enough to provide a clear picture but not over-worked enough to slow the story. At the same
time, the story does not have a break-neck pace either. It rather it ebbs and flows like real life...
well as real as life can be when one is being hunted like a dog, by someone who can read your
mind. The author took several concepts and artfully wove them together into a new and
amazing tapestry that resembles no other that I have ever seen. She re-imagined witches,
ghosts, telepaths and half a dozen other concepts and placed them all onto the stage at one time
to interact in a new and amazing way. All I can say without giving away more is that I cannot
wait for the next book to come out.

Excellent novel of five women who've been pursued through past lives by
reincarnates bent on possessing their essences in order to become more powerful.
Alishia has created a riveting story peopled with well developed, interesting
characters, including a child revenant who inhabits an apartment in a defunct
mortuary. I highly recommend this book to lovers of witches and the supernatural.
This was Book I can hardly wait for Book II.
